Bayly's Beach is situated 10 minutes drive from Dargaville, at the southern end of New Zealand's longest driveable beach, Ripiro Beach. As Bayly's Beach is the main access point, Ripiro Beach is often referred to as Bayly's Beach.
Bayly's Beach township is a small seaside community, with a farming community surrounding it. The populatiion explodes in summertime with holidaymakers and sun seekers.
Ripiro Beach is approximately 100 kilometers long, and is in fact longer than 90 Mile Beach. For roughly 2 hours either side of low tide the beach is safely driveable in a 4X4, and is a gazetted highway where standard road rules apply.
The beach is bordered by high golden sand dunes, home to stunning sunsets and numerous outdoor activities for all walks of life. Activities include fishing, swimming, yachting, boating, four wheel driving, kite surfing, dune buggying, hang gliding, trail bike riding and much more.
