Great Barrier Island Lodge sits right on the water at Whangaparapara Harbour with studio units, family units overlooking harbour with self catering facilities and ensuites, self contained cottages and backpacker cabins. The complex can sleep up to 40 people. The restaurant and bar is licensed along with an Off License. A private BBQ area is available for guests. The Shop sells bait and ice and all manner of things. There is kayak hire and internet access too. Making this a perfect spot for weddings, family reunions and company get togethers or simply a romantic retreat for a weekend. The Fuel: There is a contract for the distribution of fuel for the Island in place. This fuel supplies Tryphena and Claris and Port Fitzroy too. It doesn't include LPG.
